Meet maria
Maria Giannopoulos is a bubbly, digital savvy Wisconsinite with a deep love for digital marketing and politics. She hails from Sheboygan, Wisconsin, where the polka band is famous in Home Alone and the cheese squeaks. She is a Greek gal and her personality puts the BIG in my Big Fat Greek Wedding.
Professionally, Maria is at the center of marketing, digital media and politics. As a digital marketer, Maria planned digital advocacy campaigns and posed as the thumbs behind social media accounts for Senator Orrin Hatch and Senate Candidate Bob Hugin. Maria led Google’s efforts to train elected officials, political campaigns, advocacy organizations and civic non-profits on best practices for Google’s vast array of digital tools.
She is also an extremely proud Badger. Her spirit shined at the University of Wisconsin - Madison where she served as the Senior Class President and the Student Body Vice President. She is also pursuing a Masters Degree in Integrated Marketing Communications at Georgetown University.
Most recently, Maria served as the Director of Marketing and Digital for the 2024 Republican National Convention, where she pioneered the first influencer marketing program and led a team of 99 to produce the digital broadcast of the Convention. In addition, she founded her own company, greekmaria, LLC, where she explores innovative marketing strategies and creative solutions for political organizations and corporate clients.
In her spare time, Maria enjoys traveling, eating cheese and long walks to the Capitol.
